Brit & Bear is so excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Dothan Leisure Services to secure Eastgate Dog Park for Dothan’s 1st Dog Daze of Summer event! Join us on Saturday, July 9th from 10A - 2P as we celebrate the summer season with our dogs!
We'll have an entire dog themed pop up market with the BEST pet businesses in the Wiregrass in attendance! Every booth will have something to shop or a fun activity for you and your pet!
The community will also have the opportunity to Meet & Greet with Dothan's Most Popular Dogs: Mandy from Angel Paws, Henry from The Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center, and Moose from Brit & Bear!
Wiregrass Animal Group and the Wiregrass Humane Society will also be on site with information for those interesting in fostering or adopting dogs.. they'll have a few of their adoptable dogs at the event for everyone to meet!
The main event will be our Dog Daze of Summer Fashion Show hosted by Brit & Bear!
Does your dog have what it takes to take home the "Diva of Dog Daze 2022" title and over $200 worth of summer themed prizes? Registration for the Fashion Show is FREE and sign ups are from 10AM - 11:15AM the day of. The Fashion Show is free to watch, and will be held at 11:30 AM. It will be followed by a People's Choice style voting where attendees can pay $1 per vote towards their favorite contestant with all proceeds benefiting the rescues in attendance, Wiregrass Animal Group and The Wiregrass Humane Society!
Don't forget your dogs can expel their energy at the dog park anytime during the event! We ask that humans please do not leave your dog at the park unattended.
Once you and your pack has worked up an appetite, be sure to stop by SayIt Hotdogs, Tikiz of The Wiregrass, and/or Dothan Ice Cream for lunch and a snack! Each vendor will have a special treat available to purchase for your pet, so no matter where you stop don't forget Fido's!
There is NO ENTRY FEE for people or pets attending! This is a FREE event for all. We recommend bringing your favorite lawn chair, your dog won't want to leave!
